A new era in invasive laser treatment

A new era in invasive laser treatment

Through its minimally invasive approach, Weber Medical is redefining the application of medical lasers with the Weberneedle® Endolaser.

One of the greatest challenges in laser therapy has long been the effective delivery of laser energy into cells and deep tissue. Traditional, non-invasive (transdermal) lasers lose more than 70% of their energy in the skin, leaving only a small fraction to reach the target tissue. The Weberneedle® Endolaser provides a solution to this limitation.

When applied intraarticularly, the device enables precise treatment of joints and nerves, resulting in effective pain and inflammation relief.

Thanks to the Weberneedle® Lasercath technology, laser energy is delivered directly to the site of pain, without power loss. This is achieved using fiber-optic light guides and cannulas up to 12 cm in length. Even short-wavelength lasers, such as the blue laser, which are normally absorbed in the upper layers of the skin, can now unfold their full therapeutic potential deep within joint tissues. Blue laser light plays a key role in intraarticular therapy due to its anti-inflammatory properties.

The intraarticular approach is also used in photodynamic therapy (PDT) for the treatment of tumors.

Intravenous laser therapy with the Weberneedle® Endolaser marks another breakthrough in clinical laser applications. By delivering light energy directly into the bloodstream, it initiates regeneration and regulation throughout the entire body.

This method is increasingly used in photodynamic therapy, where photosensitizers are activated deep inside the body to selectively destroy malignant cells, viruses, bacteria, parasites, and fungi.

FAQ

1. How much does the Weberneedle® Endolaser cost?

The price of the Weberneedle® Endolaser varies because each system is individually customized to suit your specific clinical needs and professional requirements.

Factors influencing the cost include the number of laser modules and the wavelengths required for your treatments.

For non-invasive treatment of pain areas, such as in physiotherapy, red and infrared lasers are recommended because these wavelengths penetrate tissue particularly well.

If you plan to use the laser invasively—for example, in joints or deep-seated pain regions—red, blue, and yellow lasers are especially important.

All wavelengths can be used for intravenous applications, with the choice depending mainly on your therapeutic objectives.

In photodynamic therapy (PDT), the selection of the appropriate laser wavelength is determined by the photosensitizer used. For example, curcumin responds exclusively to blue light, while indocyanine green (ICG) is activated by infrared light.

Use of the Weberneedle® Endolaser requires professional training in a healthcare-related field.
