Delivering up to 8 W of power with a timer adjustable from 5 to 30 minutes, it’s ideal for everyday use. And with an optional power bank (not included), you can take it anywhere.
For full-body care and deep relaxation, the XL version is your best bet. Equipped with 2,160 LED diodes and a total output of 180 W, it helps you recover efficiently after tough workouts or long days. The timer can be set between 15 and 60 minutes to customize your session for ultimate comfort and performance.

The LightMat S is perfect for targeting specific spots like joints, muscles, tendons, or skin areas. It comes with two straps so you can secure it exactly where you need it (knee, lower back, etc.). Plus, if you use a power bank, you can move around freely while wearing it.

It mainly depends on how deep the light needs to reach. Red light (660 nm) has a shorter wavelength and works mostly on the skin’s surface. Infrared light (850 nm), on the other hand, penetrates much deeper into the tissues. So pick the color that best fits your needs.
If you want to get the most out of your LightMat, you can even use both at the same time—the combo LEDs emit both red and infrared light together.
Please note: Infrared light is barely visible to the naked eye. Even if you can’t see the light, the gentle warming sensation is a good sign that the LightMat is working and delivering the expected benefits.
You have three frequency settings to choose from: 0 Hz, 10 Hz, and 40 Hz.
0 Hz means continuous mode — the light stays on constantly. Most users prefer this setting.
10 Hz corresponds to alpha waves and tends to have a calming effect.
40 Hz falls within the gamma wave range and is considered stimulating.
The lower the frequency, the more intense the exposure.
For light intensity, you can choose from 5 levels. If you are generally sensitive to light, start with a lower level and gradually increase it as you notice a pleasant effect.
For the LightMat S, we recommend using it for 20-30 minutes per area, 1-2 times a day.
With the LightMat XL, you can use it daily or as needed for 15-30 minutes per side of the body.
It’s best to start with shorter sessions at first and see how your body responds. You can then gradually increase the duration from session to session based on how you feel.
As always, listen to your body. Sometimes a full 30 minutes isn’t necessary.
The LightMat’s LEDs sit directly on your skin, ensuring the light penetrates the tissue at maximum intensity for effective results. The closer the LEDs are to the skin; the less light is lost and the more efficient the treatment.
With its 2,160 LEDs, the LightMat XL covers your entire body in just one session. After about half the time, you should switch from your back to your stomach (or vice versa) so both sides can benefit and recover.
No, the two technologies work quite differently. Infrared saunas use large emitters that disperse heat over a wide area, warming the body primarily through heat.
The LightMat XL, however, uses small LEDs placed directly on the skin to deliver focused light deep into the tissue, targeting specific areas without generating significant heat.
Infrared light can potentially damage the skin if exposure is too intense or occurs in the far-infrared spectrum, like during extended periods in the sun.
However, the infrared LEDs used in the LightMat operate at specific wavelengths and intensities that are completely safe. On the contrary, numerous scientific studies demonstrate the health-promoting effects of infrared light. NASA researchers have been studying for decades how infrared light, for example, aids wound healing in astronauts.
It’s important not to stare directly at the LEDs since the light can be harmful to your eyes. We advise using safety goggles, particularly when using the LightMat XL while lying face down.
During use, sweating can occur, so hygiene is very important. We recommend cleaning the LightMat occasionally with water or a cleaning alcohol solution (such as 70% isopropanol). Dampen a non-abrasive cloth with the liquid, do not spray directly onto the LightMat.
Cleaning the LightMat XL is even easier: it comes with a transparent protective cover which is convenient to clean.
